Faster, even cooking for all your family favorites

Great Oven

Love this oven.  I've always been skeptical of double ovens cooking evenly but this one is perfect.  I baked cookies in both ovens at the same time and they came out perfectly the same, crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside.  The controls are easy to use and intuitive, no scrolling through options from one button...

Questions & Reviews

How do I keep my racks gliding smoothly?

To keep your oven racks gliding smoothly when you’re removing or inserting them, we recommend applying cooking oil along their outer edges.

How do I set my oven to self clean?

To self-clean your oven, just follow these simple steps:

  1. Remove all oven racks – except any porcelain ones.
  2. Set your oven control to Clean.
  3. Select a cleaning time, or choose a cleaning level: light, medium, or heavy soiled. For normal cleaning needs, we recommend selecting a cleaning time of three hours or choose the medium setting.
  4. Select Start. (To set a delayed start, see your use and care manual.)

Note: For safety reasons, your oven door will remain locked during cleaning. When the oven is sufficiently cool again, the door will automatically unlock.

What is convection cooking and what are the benefits?

Convection cooking is cooking with the added advantage of airflow circulation, which allows for a more even distribution of heat. By using the forced flow of hot air, convection cooking produces the following benefits:

  • Cooking time is approximately 25-30% faster than conventional ovens, saving energy.
  • The more even distribution of heat results in food that is more evenly baked.
  • Generally, less heat is required than with a conventional oven—a convection oven usually cooks at 25°F below a conventional oven's required temperature.

What should I do if my oven is cooking too slowly or too fast?

You can check the actual oven temperature with an oven thermometer, then compare that reading to the setting on the oven’s control. If there is a significant difference, some models will let you adjust the oven temperature. Instructions for doing this can be found in your owner’s manual, under “Adjusting Oven Temperature.”

Is it normal for the oven’s fan to run after the oven has been turned off?

Yes, this is normal. The fan stays on in order to help cool the oven.

What does it mean if the oven display is flashing codes that I’m not familiar with?

These codes mean that the oven’s electronic control has detected a condition it needs to check. When you see a code, follow these steps:

  • Press STOP/CLEAR to clear the display and stop the beeping.
  • Reprogram the oven.
  • If the code still displays, turn off the power to the oven at your breaker box and wait five minutes to turn it back on.

If the code is still displayed after you’ve followed these steps, contact your local authorized service provider.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sleek appearance and super functional! We have been very pleased with our new appliance. I love that both upper and lower ovens have all the features. We have already used the self clean feature and it was very effective.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It’s a terrific double oven, but... I purchased this Double Oven from Howard’s About three weeks ago. I was excited because my old GE had a worn out computer panel thus making it impossible to repair. I researched all brands and models extensively. This seemed to be the highest quality product within my price range. It is fantastic. The only glitches I’ve felt are minimal, but annoying for me. First, I do not like the continual running fan after cooking. It seems to go on excessively after cooking and I wonder how much energy it is consuming during cool down. Next, there is no cooking timer with automatic shut off. I miss that option. The regular timer function has a low ring tone and I wear hearing aides. I simply do not hear it. I appreciated the ability to have that important option in my old GE. Last, the fan blows right in my face when baking, both during regular bake and convection! Why is the air outlet situated in this manner? I walk by the oven and get blasted with hot air! This will certainly be an issue when using the ovens in the warmer months. It’s terrible. I had no idea the first time and was shocked at hot hot the air was spilling into my kitchen and across my eyes. Strange and a bit worrisome to say the least.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Stylish I've had the double oven for 2 months. The lower oven preheats faster than the upper oven, but both cook foods as expected. The upper oven has a popping sound when cooling down. Love the touch screen even though a little tricky at times to get correct temp and time. Love the look. Good price and pleased with purchase

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My wife loves it! We had an old unit that was in the house for over 25 years and was starting to act up a bit. So I went on line and read a lot of reviews. When Lowes had a sale I decided to pursue this model. It is perfect. My wife loves the dual convection and conventional ovens. Everyone who has baked with it has sung it's praises. We have no complaints!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it so far! After our 20 year old Jenn-Air double wall oven stopped working, I started looking for an oven that had the same features of our old oven that didn't cost $4,000-$5,000. This wasn't an easy task, but then I found this Frigidaire oven that had even more features vs my old oven and looked really good too. We've had it for about a month so far and its worked perfectly. I actually installed it myself and it was super easy. Just make sure you have the measurements right and you'll be good to go. The only annoyance we've had so far is that the touch screen can take a little getting used to. It's like touching the screen of a phone or tablet, not like actual buttons. So if it's not registering your button press, you might be inclined to press harder, but its really more about repositioning your finger or using the pad of your finger instead of the tip to get it to register your touch. If you're installing this yourself, the cord is at the bottom of the oven, so plan accordingly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Like the wall oven I like the wall oven very much. However, there is one issue that I am not pleased with. There is a gap on the bottom and the stainless steel piece that came with the oven was not the right one. It is too short in width. When I called Frigidaire about this, I was told I had to order that part at a cost of over $100.00. It is not the right size. If you look at the picture of the oven, you can see there is a stainless steel piece at the bottom. This should have been part of the installation.
