Do I need to use an Air Fry tray to get the best results?

We recommend using our ReadyCook™ Air Fry Tray. It allows you to get that delicious, crunchy texture, faster than dark nonstick bakeware.

How do I limit the amount of smoke when using the ReadyCook™ Air Fry Tray?

Air Fry uses superheated air to cook food fast and make it crunchy. Although Air Fry uses hot air to cook, remember that you are still frying your food so it gets crispy! When some high-fat or greasy foods (like fresh wings) meet that hot air inside an oven, some smoke is normal. If Air Fry is making a lot of smoke, try these tips:

  • When using the Air Fry Tray, put a baking sheet on a rack or two below the Air Fry Tray. This keeps drips and crumbs from landing on the oven bottom, where they can burn and create smoke. For additional protection, place some foil-lined parchment paper on the baking sheet. Parchment paper traps oil and keeps it from smoking.
  • Use cooking oils that can stand up to a high temperature like avocado, grapeseed, and peanut oils. Cooking sprays made from these oils are available at the grocery store.
  • Keep foil, parchment paper, and bakeware of the bottom of the oven. The oven bottom needs to stay clear so air can circulate.
  • Don’t overcrowd the food on your baking sheet or on the Air Fry Tray. If air can’t circulate around each item, the cooking and crisping process may slow down and allow more grease to settle or drip.
  • If your catch-tray is smoking, try placing parchment paper on it to hold grease. For extra moist foods, you may have to use more.
  • Some foods, like fresh wings and some vegetables, have a lot of moisture and may drip more than you expect. For items that might drip, use a pan with low sides if you’re not using an Air Fry Tray.
  • Air Fry uses superheated air, so if your oven bottom already has drips or crumbs on it (it happens!), those can smoke. Keep your oven bottom clean.
  • If you have an oven vent, use it when cooking with Air Fry, like you would when using the cooktop.

How do I improve my baking results with my Frigidaire range?

You may be surprised to learn your bakeware can impact your baking results. By using the proper rack position, you can improve your baking results - - especially if you are baking on multiple racks. Your Owner’s Manual has great tips and tricks to optimize your baking performance and recommended rack positions based on food type. For more information or tips to try, review the “Before You Call” section of your Owner’s Manual if you are experiencing any issues with your baking performance.

How do I insert and remove my racks from my Frigidaire range?

The type of racks in your range may vary by model. Based on your appliance, your Owner’s Manual provides a description of various types of racks. Most racks can simply be removed by pulling the oven rack straight out until it reaches the stop position. Tilt up the front of the oven rack to slide past the stop position and pull the rack out of the oven cavity. To insert the rack, rest the oven rack evenly between a left and right front guide along the oven walls so that the oven rack rests level. Tilt front of the rack upward and slide rack in past the stop position. Then bring the rack to a level position and slide the rack completely inside the oven.

To keep your oven racks gliding smoothly when you’re removing or inserting them, we recommend applying cooking oil along their outer edges.

If your oven is equipped with the Effortless Oven Rack system, you can refer to your Owner’s Manual for specific instructions. The Effortless Oven Rack system will automatically partially extend the oven rack from the interior oven glides to assist in easier access to your food items. This feature works whenever the oven door is opened or closed. IMPORTANT: Only the Effortless Oven Rack system should be used in the oven rack position 2. Placing any other rack in the oven rack position 2 will prevent the oven door from fully closing and may damage the oven door, oven cavity or the door connector brackets.

How do I clean my Frigidaire range?

Your Owner’s Manual provides helpful tips regarding care and cleaning for your range to include the exterior and interior components such as knobs, stainless steel, racks, door and cooktop, etc. You can also purchase cleaners directly. If your appliance has Smudge Proof Stainless Steel, use a soft cloth, clean with a mild dish detergent and water or a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. Rinse with clean water, dry with a soft clean cloth. Do not use appliance cleaner, stainless steel cleaner or cleaner containing abrasives, chlorides, chlorine or ammonia. These cleaners may damage the finish.

Before You Buy

Measure your space

Measure the width, depth & height of opening. For clean access the door should be able to open 90 degrees or more.

Check your doorways

Check the doorways to ensure your range can easily get into your home. Measure from the stops on each side since those are the closest contact points.

Haul-away

Many retailers have haul-away programs if they deliver your new range. Check to see what retailers offer and have a plan when you’ve selected a new range.
