Very good value for the money. We bought this appliance around President's Day and it was installed shortly thereafter. In general, it seems much faster than its 16 year old predecessor even though the microwave power rating is the same. The cooking cavity is a bit smaller but certainly sufficient for our needs. Most of the features meet our needs and work as described. However, setting the power level is a bit difficult to figure out and there does not seem to be a way to change the level once cooking begins. Also the mica cover over the microwave feed tends to get spattered with food easily if cooking containers are not covered; it is also absorbent and difficult to clean.

very disappointing replacement for last microwaveWe purchased this product because our last microwave stopped working. It seemed to be a "apples to apples" swap as far as dimensions and features go, but it has been causing a lot of grief since we had it installed. It does not heat food evenly. The turntable is noisy. Before the cook cycle is finished there is an internal buzzing noise right before it ends. After a recent power outage the 'check filter' light came on so I opened up the door and checked the filter. It was okay, so I put it back but since then there are black filter particles falling out of that overhead compartment. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Buyer bewareThe previous version (model FGMV175QFA) of this microwave came with our new home (new construction) along with the other gallery line appliances in our kitchen about a year and a half ago. We love they way they look and for the most part how they operate. It began to pop the electrical breaker fairly often and has since stopped being able to be used with out the breaker popping. Then find that the Owner Support area on the website does not even list it as a model but do find it in the search but the link is broken to get to anything about the model. It would be nice to have matching appliances but not sure I will replace with a new Frigidaire.

Solid, nice looking microwaveBought this as a set with the matching Frigidaire Gallery gas range. They look great together. The exhaust fan is effective, if on the loud side. I wish it had three fan levels instead of two. The LED lights are nice and bright, but a little on the cheap, blue end. I prefer a warmer light. The alert sounds when the timer is done or the cooking is done are extremely harsh. Even with the volume turned down, they are at a frequency that everyone in the house finds painful to hear.
Cooking features all work great, so it does its job. I just wish it would do so more gracefully. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Easy to use & easy to cleanI am so glad we chose this Frigidaire microwave. It is very easy to keep clean (this was really important for me!) and very easy to use. The "auto start" feature is my favorite - if I need three minutes I can just hit "3" and it'll start up for me. Seems like a little thing, but it's helpful when I'm doing multiple things in the kitchen.
I find that it heats very evenly, and defrosting meats is simple and also very even. Oh, you won't ever forget your food in this microwave, either - the "alarm" that sounds when food is done or your timer is finished is loud and persistent. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Keypad is Cheaply Made & Scratches Extremely EasyI had this microwave installed in my home two weeks ago. This week for the first time I gently wiped the keypad to clean off fingerprints. I used water and a soft microfiber cloth as per the instructions in the manual. After wiping it with the damp microfiber cloth the keypad was left with an extreme amount of fine scratches in it. I had my previous microwave from another brand for 13 years and there was not one scratch on the keypad. This product is very cheaply made! I'm shocked and disgusted that it would scratch so easily by following the instructions provided in the manual. I would definitely not recommend this product to anyone! Noisy and LEDs are proprietaryIt works as a microwave, but man it's a noisy, lots of vibration during normal use. I appreciate that they switched to LED lighting, but for some reason used a proprietary LED board rather than a standard bulb base. This is very annoying as all my under cabinet lights are soft white (yellow-ish) and the build in ones are daylight (blue-ish) and there is no way for me to make them match.
Had to have the exhaust fan replaced already too. Horrible vibration on high and wouldn't even turn on low.
My last Frigidaire served me well, this one is off to a poor start. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

OK microwaveIt is a good microwave. I failed to check out the features, I bought it quickly by price. It works good but there are a few things I don't like. One. To defrost something you have to use the preset setting for meat, poultry or fish. With my old microwave, I was able to set anytime I wanted to defrost something like a piece of pizza. Two, you can not soften a stick of butter the only option is to melt it. Plus why would I want to soften ice cream? I would not recommend because it does not give you a lot of options to work with. Too many presets and not enough manual mode. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
