goodt overall freezerPros:
1 Quick cool-down on initial startup.
3 Accurate digital temperature control on outside.
4 Flexible shelving.
5 LED lighting is very effective.
1 Door will take 6 "pockets", but comes with only 3. Must buy additional 3 for $75 to fully take advantage of storage in door.
2 Door takes a bit of effort to open. If you open door, close it, and then decide to open it again immediately you will find if difficult to re-open. Best to wait a couple of minutes then try again.
3 Ice cream compartment is small. However, if you set the freezer to -5F, the compartment is still at 0F and can be used for general storage.

Great storage optionsWe've used our new Frigidaire frost-free freezer for about 6 weeks and love it. This is a well designed, efficient frost-free freezer with easy to use controls. The variety of baskets and shelves easily handle the multitude of sizes and types of food packaging. We LOVE the LED lighting on different levels of the freezer case making it easy to see all that we have. The 3 adjustable in-door shelves are great. Our old freezer had compatible door shelves so we added a couple of them to enhance the storage in this new freezer (Note to Frigidaire, please provide 4 - 5 adjustable door shelves). Great FreezerWe bought this freezer after doing considerable research using reviews and looking at consumer research groups' info. It's a great freezer, and we're very happy with it. The first one was delivered with some dings in the side, so it was replaced, but once that was taken care of it's been super. Seems sturdy and well made. I really like the thermometer screen on the door for a quick look at the freezer's function. Nice security and allows for easy changes without opening the door, but not so easy that it could get bumped and create an issue. Would buy again. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Works fine.I purchased this freezer on a "hurry up" basis because my old one died. (It was expected, but someone you're always caught unawares.) This box is large, well lighted, and has lots of shelves and baskets to maximize storage. It turned out to be too big for my space (I am never trusting my husband to measure again!), but that's not a flaw in the appliance. If I have a quibble, it's that the door is very hard to open. It's not like a fridge where you give the handle a small tug. You have to use one hand on the handle, one on the frame, and you probably need to brace yourself to get it open! it's okThis freezer is 3 cu.ft bigger than the one it replaced, the walls may be thicker but there were not enough door buckets to allow use of the door storage. So, I bought enough to fill the available door space. Another problem for me was the tightness of the seal... I could not open the door without hurting my shoulder or moving the freezer or both. Finally called Frigidaire and was told to run my hand along the seal until the door opened. And, that really does work. The freezer has a "soft freeze" section on the door, which I assume should be for ice cream, and since we make all our ice cream, I thought that was a good idea. But it's not tall enough for my quart containers.

Expensive, but worth itI did the research and decided on this one. It has a strong seal on the door, great lighting and lots of room. It looks like it will keep food frozen longer than most in the event of a power outage. Here's a tip for you: To check to see if you need to throw out food after a power outage, simply freeze a small container of water, place a quarter on top of it and leave it in the freezer. If you check the freezer after a power outage and the quarter is on the bottom of the container, the food thawed like the water in the container and the food should be thrown out. How sad... Can't keep it runningI bought this freezer a few years ago thinking it would be perfect for the space, and the fact that deep freezers usually last years upon years. However, we have had nothing but issues with this thing. It will randomly stop running without letting you know. The digital read out next changes off of 0 or let's you know if it hits defrost mode. We try to keep the ice cleaned out of the inside and it still shuts off. Since we regularly use it, we've caught it in time with minimal loss of meat and food. However, if we didn't use it as often, it would've cost us dearly in lost groceries. We've had this happen 5 times in the last 2 and half years. Terrible, terrible freezer! Don't waste your money!

fffh21f6qw reviewpurchased feb 2016 and it's just what i needed. i do not have to run to the store every day nor do i have to cook as often as it holds a lot of my home cooked meals.
I do however wish there were 3 baskets instead of two as I put vegetables in one, meat in one and i would use the third for fish and fowl. i put a basket in from my old freezer but i am looking for some way to put stops on it as it has no stops on it and afraid frozen items might fall on my foot when i pull it out.
i noticed many people would like to have additional door shelves. I have extra for sale door shelves and baskets if anyone wants to contact me. They were from my old door freezer and fit this door freezer shelf exactly.
