What should I do if my Top-Freezer refrigerator is too cold or too warm in the refrigerator or freezer?
Here are some helpful tips if you are experiencing any of these conditions:
- If the freezer is too cold but refrigerator is fine, set the freezer control to a warmer setting.
- If the refrigerator is too cold but the freezer temperature is fine, set the refrigerator to a warmer setting. Note: Adjusting the refrigerator control changes temperatures in both the refrigerator and the freezer.
- If the freezer is too warm but the refrigerator is fine, set the freezer control to a colder setting.
- If the refrigerator is too warm but the freezer is fine, set the refrigerator control to a colder setting. Adjusting the refrigerator control changes temperatures in both the refrigerator and the freezer. Allow 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize after making any adjustments. To maintain temperatures, a fan circulates air in the refrigerator and freezer and therefore, it is important not to block air vents with food items. This could disrupt the air flow and cause temperature issues. For some models: Adjusting the refrigerator temperature control “0” turns off the compressor and prevents the refrigerator from cooling but does not disconnect the power to the light and electronics. To completely turn off your refrigerator, you must unplug it. If you have any questions, please contact us.
