Questions & Reviews

19 Cu. Ft. Single-Door Refrigerator is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 233.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice design but ... I bought matching pair n while freezer works well, fridge continues to stop cooling n restarting cooling at whim. I have opened fridge upon awakening n see 76 or 62 degrees inside while all the food is sweaty. Had two different repair companies look at it but can't figure it out and since every time they come the temperature is fine they are unable to fix it. I don't think this should be a mistery I have placed a digital thermometer inside fridge and taken pictures of temperature It would be great if a fridgidaire technician would contact me for guidance [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not reliable 1) The interior floor slope lets water condensation run out the front. Shorts the door switch. 2) The condenser dust build up can not be cleaned without major disassembly of the cooling fan. 3) The condensed refrigerant tube is kinked by the factory. 4) The compressor failed after 18 months. 5) The compressor is not on Embraco's standard list so there's no specifications. 6) The local factory service is few and far between, the nearest one refuses to work on the Frigidaire equipment after the short 1 year warranty expires. -- Wonder if a Viking or Subzero would still be running? If this refrigerator was running down the street, I'd just let it go.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A Missed Opportunity This stand-alone refrigerator and matching stand-alone freezer are a huge disappointment! They appear to have a lot of room inside, but most of the bottom of both units has decreased depth, resulting in a very small fresh fruit/vegetable drawer in the fridge and a very small basket in the freezer. The units are large, but the space inside is poorly designed. I had a similar pair from a different manufacturer in a previous home, and I wish I had looked more carefully before purchasing this pair. Also, the kick-plates at the bottom of the units are screwed in, making it more difficult to remove and clean them. This is a big miss on Frigidaire's part, and I wish I could swap them out. I am very disappointed in these units.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So many problems This fridge has quit working after 2.5 years. The compressor and fans operate, but the fridge only gets to 58F. I had the thermistor replaced, but no luck. So now I’ve got to load it up and drive more than an hour to a repair shop to try to get it fixed. Before this, the gasket failed at the bottom of the door, one of the drawers fell apart, and at one point it was also beeping incessantly (and the beep is so loud!). I finally fixed this last problem by running a magnet around the edge of the door as apparently there’s a magnet in there that had become unseated. Overall too much trouble for a fairly expensive fridge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from spacious and good quality This refrigerator has surpassed my expectations on every level. The quality and workmanship is excellent. The features are both practical and extremely convenient and easy to use. I am excited over this investment again and again every time I open it. It is extremely spacious as well. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great interior design and function. I bought the refrigerator about 1 month ago. The interior design affords easy access to the contents. However, the gasket that seals the door to the refrigerator cabinet creates too tight a seal. My wife can barely open the door. I need two hands to yank the door open. Frigidaire tech service provided a short video on how to overcome this design problem. It involves pinching the gasket with one hand while pulling the door handle with the other hand. That's not a legitimate solution. The fact that a video exists informs me that I'm not the first customer to encounter this problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for people who cook a lot! This fridge is great!! everything is easy to access as it's not deep the space is more in the width. I have had different styles fridge in the past and would only recommend this style and model. Only feature I miss from my old fridge is the sealed shelves they're easier to clean and if something spills it stays in shelf. I have the freezer and love it too the only downside in the freezer are the glass shelves as they become frozen and you can't just wipe it clean. I personally like for a freezer the Ones that are wired. Both fridge and freezer are spacious good layout and easy to use

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very low quality refrigerator ! We bought the duo (fridge and freezer) 6 years ago. After 6 months one of the handle was already broken (door was too tight). Fortunatley it was still under warranty. Then, after 5 years we had a refrigerant leak. We called a technician who told us the only thing he could do is refill the gas. After a bill of $300...1 year later, the leak came back and the refrigerator is not cold anymore. We lost all the food and we now have to replace it. But we dont know what to do since the freezer is still working fine (never had any issues with it). We will probably have to change both because I have no confidence in this product.
