I am happy with this microwave now, but right after we purchased it I was not. In fact, I returned the first one I bought because I thought it was defective. We could not set the clock. We followed the directions several times. The second one we bought is the same model, and we could not set the clock on it also. So after a lot of fooling with it, my husband finally figured it out. THE POWER SAVE MUST BE OFF TO SET THE CLOCK. The instructions in the manual do not say this. And the microwave apparently is shipped with the power save on. So maybe the instructions for the clock should include turning the power save off. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

GOOD BUT NEEDS SOME FIXES.
THE BEEP WHEN COMPLETED COOKING IS DONE IS TOO LOUD. IT CAN BE SHUT OFF BUT I DO LIKE TO KNOW WHEN FOOD IS DONE. MAKE IT ADJUSTABLE, PERHAPS 3 LEVELS OF LOUDNESS. SHOULD BE EASY TO ADD PROGRAMMING TO OPTIONS.
THE SECOND ITEM IS THE DOOR LATCH OPENER. IT'S AT AN AWKWARD LOCATION AND ALSO TAKES CONSIDERABLE EFFORT TO OPEN THE DOOR. A DOOR HANDLE WHEN BE SIMPLER OR MODIFY THE EXISTING LATCH. BEHIND THE LATCH, A FINGER OR FINGERS GRIP WOULD HELP. WHEN I USE THE EXISTING LATCH, THE FORCE NECESSARY TO OPEN THE DOOR SOMETIMES MOVES THE OVEN. Beep beep beep, deafening.
This is a fairly nice microwave, with good features.
It would have been 5 stars if they spent a little more time and made it so you can adjust the volume of the beeping.
As far as I can tell you only have 2 choices LOUD AND MUTE.
In the loud function it beeps every time you press a button which is preferable, but at the end of the cycle it beeps so loudly it is really annoying so I have muted the sounds completely.
The programming to get to the sounds feature is not very clear and could be a lot easier and the volume needs an adjustment program, even it it is just loud and low.
Other Frigidaire microwave have this volume control. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Clock and beep fix
Looks good and the prices was a deal. After a lot of looking for a replacement this made my top selection despite a couple of universal negatives over several sites. Namely the beep volume and the clock. After reading the manual the beep can be turned off(fix 1). The clock took me a little while to figure out. The clock would not stay visible after setting it.It looks like when the unit is first plugged in it defaults to "Power Save" mode. This is option 4 in the clock menu. Just turn it off and problem solved. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Not that great
I purchased my microwave recently there are a few things that suck on the machine 1 it slides across the counter due to no traction on its bottom another poor feature you cannot pick and choose your sounds either you have an annoying alarm that tells of your food is done over and over and over again which is very unpleasant or you can turn the sound off and have nothing I would like the option of push my keypad I could hear it when the food is done it beeps one time that's not too much to ask I think it's a very poor design not being able to pick and choose your sounds as you desire and slippery feet no good as far as microwaving food it does fine it defrost fine those two features I mentioned are the only problems I have [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Works great, however....
Bought this about 2 weeks ago. Cooks great, looks good. However....the “end of cooking” beeps are without a doubt the most annoying and obnoxious sounds ever (I’m including fingernails on a chalkboard). They are looonnnngggg and loud. No option to change them (that I’ve seen). Also, the procedure to turn off the sounds is not clear at all. If it weren’t for the sound issue...I’d rate it a solid “5”

Great Functionality, Annoying Beeps
Heats fast & evenly. Tried Sensor Reheat several times with good results. Potato button got 3 avg potatoes within 30 seconds of completion. The control pad is clear & easy enough for my elderly parents to see and understand. BUT, the completion beeps are extra long, loud, annoying AND repetitious. They can be heard in the closed door bedrooms on the other side of the house. The door release does not stop the beeps, only the STOP button. Half awake in the morning, had to stop tying my shoes to silence it before it woke up the folks. Half awake in the morning, I tend to forget about little things like "I've got to be near the microwave to silence it before it wakes everyone." [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

How to turn off that annoying buzzer
Aston's post worked
I too found the audible signal on this microwave very annoying.
Ashton posted these instructinons.
The signal on this model can be muted [turned off] using the instructions of your Owner’s Manual..."around page 18 look for a section that talks about clock options."
If you press the “Options/Clock” button twice and press start, you will get to the Sound menu, and the screen will toggle between “On” and “Off”. To mute the sound, press start when the screen displays “Off”.
