I chose this freezer over a competing model (Whirlpool/Maytag) because it is built like a tank. The door has a strong seal and the walls are very thick. I plugged it in and it took less than four hours to reach temperature. The door bins are deep as are the shelves. The competing model claimed higher capacity but this freezer seems to hold more. I also prefer the manual thermostat control. The LED lighting is located well and shines bright. I also liked how when I registered, Frigidaire offered available service contracts at very reasonable prices. So far, I'm very impressed with Frigidaire. Perfect size for what we need it for.
I have been wanting a freezer for my house for a while just to have. After having mine and my wife’s first child about 3 months ago we realized that we would need a freezer rather than just wanting one. We bought this unit about a month ago after realizing that my freezer could not handle our food plus all the extra milk my wife has been pumping and storing for our daughter saving for later. This has more than enough room for what we need it for now and when our daughter gets bigger and starts eating real food I have no doubt we will have plenty of storage. You cannot beat the price of this unit for the size you get. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Meets my needs.
I bought this freezer a few months ago to replace a freezer that's still operational, but is more than 30 years old. I wanted a self-defrosting, more energy efficient freezer; however, I have not noticed a change in my electric bill yet. The freezer is noisy so I'm glad it's in the basement. The door is airtight, which is a good thing, but I have to hold onto the freezer to open the door. If I don't, the whole freezer moves. I guess I have to load it up. I'm also still trying to get the protective plastic off the unit. That has proven to be a real chore. So, other than the above comments, it does meet my needs & the size is perfect.

I got tired of emptying my chest freezer every time II needed something. It was like magic, everything I needed seemed to migrate to the bottom.
I couldn't be more satisfied with this freezer. It has plenty of room, the adjustable shelves and the light are a great features.
I read other reviews where the noise level seemed to be excessive. I do not find that being an issue. The only issue have is the location of the temperature control. I have to get on my knees to adjust it, too far back to easily access and the setting is easily changed if product in the freezer hits it . [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Serving the purpose and working well
Bought the freezer in advance of a fishing trip to Alaska. Caught and brought back a lot of salmon, was able to put the same in the freezer, immediately after the return. Working well, so far. I have an nearly identical Frigidaire freezer, which I bought a few years ago, for identical purpose, and it is still working, keeping previously caught salmon frozen. The old freezer has external warning and freezing level indicators. The new freezer does not have such indicators, and wish it had. Also, unlike the old one, the new freezer does not have a pull out drawer at the bottom level. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Just our size!
I purchased this freezer less than a month ago and absolutely love it! I had a specific space/size requirement that had to be met and this fit perfectly. I did purchase an extra shelf since there is wasted space. I wish Frigidaire offered hanging baskets for under the shelves like they do for the SpaceWise freezers. I will have to find something and make it work. Space utilization is a big deal with me, lol! Also, the inside light is a great feature since the freezer is in the garage. No need to turn on the garage light.

Small but spacious
We really like this freezer. We are a smaller family but we constantly have bread, pizza and meats that need to be frozen. Our refrigerator freezer was so fully it wasn't keeping things frozen. This freezer did the trick and has a lot of space for being one of the smaller models. We are very pleased that the knob to change the settings is not easily moved when items bump it. The door seals nice and tight. Sometimes too tight when needing to open and close it while putting away groceries but at least then we know it is shut and our food is sealed in for freezing. We would recommend to friends/family. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Frigidaire Deep Freezer Review
I've seen many a chest deep freezer but I preferred the style of an upright freezer. I'm so glad that I found this freezer because it's so much easier to organize and search for my frozen products. It's also great for my elderly mother, who doesn't have to hurt herself trying to sift through all of the frozen products. The product itself has proven great so far. It's spacious, well-organized, and keeps everything cool. I did notice however that when I closed the freezer, there was a bit of a whistling sound. I'm not sure exactly why that happens. Overall, an excellent product! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
