Frigidaire Gallery Micro-Combi: FGMC2766UF

Easy to use and good looking

"...It immediately made our kitchen look updated. It freed up an entire counter where the monster microwave used to sit and with the trim piece looks like it was made this way from the beginning. The oven works great and is easy to use. We’re thrilled."

- Momma H

Questions & Reviews

How do I keep my racks gliding smoothly?

To keep your oven racks gliding smoothly when you’re removing or inserting them, we recommend applying cooking oil along their outer edges.

How do I set my oven to self clean?

To self-clean your oven, just follow these simple steps:

  1. Remove all oven racks – except any porcelain ones.
  2. Set your oven control to Clean.
  3. Select a cleaning time, or choose a cleaning level: light, medium, or heavy soiled. For normal cleaning needs, we recommend selecting a cleaning time of three hours or choose the medium setting.
  4. Select Start. (To set a delayed start, see your use and care manual.)

Note: For safety reasons, your oven door will remain locked during cleaning. When the oven is sufficiently cool again, the door will automatically unlock.

What is convection cooking and what are the benefits?

Convection cooking is cooking with the added advantage of airflow circulation, which allows for a more even distribution of heat. By using the forced flow of hot air, convection cooking produces the following benefits:

  • Cooking time is approximately 25-30% faster than conventional ovens, saving energy.
  • The more even distribution of heat results in food that is more evenly baked.
  • Generally, less heat is required than with a conventional oven—a convection oven usually cooks at 25°F below a conventional oven's required temperature.

What should I do if my oven is cooking too slowly or too fast?

You can check the actual oven temperature with an oven thermometer, then compare that reading to the setting on the oven’s control. If there is a significant difference, some models will let you adjust the oven temperature. Instructions for doing this can be found in your owner’s manual, under “Adjusting Oven Temperature.”

Is it normal for the oven’s fan to run after the oven has been turned off?

Yes, this is normal. The fan stays on in order to help cool the oven.

What does it mean if the oven display is flashing codes that I’m not familiar with?

These codes mean that the oven’s electronic control has detected a condition it needs to check. When you see a code, follow these steps:

  • Press STOP/CLEAR to clear the display and stop the beeping.
  • Reprogram the oven.
  • If the code still displays, turn off the power to the oven at your breaker box and wait five minutes to turn it back on.

If the code is still displayed after you’ve followed these steps, contact your local authorized service provider.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Air deflector The oven seems to work perfectly now. However when delivered to came with a 30 “ oven air deflector. My oven is a 27”. After advising my seller the new part was ordered. It sat at the distributor for a week with no explanation as to why it wasn’t sent. When it arrived two weeks later, it was the wrong part completely. After some research on my own I discovered the correct part number. After an additional 10 work days the correct part finally arrived. I was out of a working oven for over a month when it was all said and done. I can only assume 27 and 30” ovens are built off the same assembly line or right next to each other. Do better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply wonderful! Replaced a fancier combo with this Frigidaire which has simpler electronics and actually does everything well. Easy to use without studying manual, buttons make sense and don't have to be pressed repeatedly! Love this unit, looks great in kitchen and fan noise is not obtrusive. Continuous microwave beeping when ready is a minor nuisance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use. I have enjoyed cooking again since getting my new oven. The automatic temperature probe works great. I seem to use it more than any other feature.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Defective right out of the box Oven was defective immediately after installation. Called for a repair and am now waiting for over a month for the "approved" repair facility to even come out to diagnose the problem. Oven displays an error code (F029) which indicates a failed oven control nodule.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Modern Style andFeatures I bought this to replace an oven / microwave combination in which the microwave had failed. I needed an appliance that would fit the exact space I had in the kitchen cabinets. The Fridgidaire fit perfectly. The black stainless steel provides a contemporary style. And it works great too!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Only Average I purchased 2 units for a large kitchen. One arrived and need additional service. For one the door needed to have internal adjustments for the unit to shutoff properly when the door is closed after use. The other already has a scratch on the finish from depressing the open door button with your finger. Did not use metal object to push the button. Guess it was my fingernail. This product did not meet my expectations.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice, but NOISY! Husband hates it. We had to replace our 24 yr old GE 24" walloven and microwave when repair parts were no longer available. We were limited on choices based on what would fit OR doing a remodel to fit the current standard which is now 30". We were happy to find out we could put this 27" Fridgidaire in the same space that our 24" GE came out of with minimal height modifications. It looks great and works well and has a convection option BUT it makes a lot of NOISE. The loud fan runs the entire time it is preheating, cooking and cooling off even when not using the convection option. My husband won't even eat in the kitchen/dining room when the fan is going! We are now considering selling it and getting a different brand. My friend has 2 different convection type ovens in her kitchen and they are quiet!! So, I don't buy the explanation that convection ovens are loud. If the noise doesn't bother you, this unit is fine BUT note that it NOT quiet
