Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointed 1 from Ice maker broke We bought our first Frigidaire product for a Lake home and what a disappointment it is. The ice maker failed with very little use and we have had many service calls, hours of waisted time, and major pieces replaced with poor results leaving us with no ice maker. Now we have an appliance that would be less expensive and stressful to replace then repair. This is a poor design and the company does not stand behind their products. It will be the last appliance we buy from this company.

Rated 1 out of 5 by maryej22 from PIECE OF JUNK We got this refrigerator with our new home that we purchased and wished we had known about the ice maker issue. We have neighbors that also received theirs with their new home as well (new subdivision). They had nothing but problems with theirs since day one. We thought we were lucky and did not experience any problems with ours, but one morning we woke up to an AWFUL noise coming from the ice maker. We turned the ice maker off, but it would still make the terrible noise periodically. We looked through the manual and pulled out all of the parts to the ice maker as directed, but when we got to the housing of the motor, we gently pulled to take it off, and the whole part that is supposed to be glued to the back of the fridge came with it! EVERYTHING was a solid sheet of ice. We spent HOURS with a hair dryer trying to get the motor housing off of the piece in the fridge. When we were finally able to separate the two, we could then fully see the damage that the ice building up had caused. Multiple cracks in the plastic of the part that is glued to the back of the fridge. The reason it came off is because there was even ice built up in the tiny space left by the silicone/glue that had been holding it attached to the fridge. WHAT A JOKE. Now we have an irreparable ice maker that makes this very expensive refrigerator basically worthless. NEVER BUYING FRIGIDAIRE PRODUCTS AGAIN. Why would they not have a recall on this model if they KNOW about the problems?!?! Sad that they would even bring this to market. And just to add icing on the cake, this stupid model requires a very expensive filter to be replaced way too frequently, which we did as recommended to avoid any problems.
