Do I need to use an Air Fry tray to get the best results?

We recommend using our ReadyCook™ Air Fry Tray. It allows you to get that delicious, crunchy texture, faster than dark nonstick bakeware.

Why does my oven smoke when I’m using the Air Fry Tray?

Air Fry circulates superheated air inside the oven, and the Air Fry Tray allows that air to cook the food all over, even on the bottom. For Air Fry to deliver crunchy texture, a little oil needs to be on the food. That oil cooks fast to create the crunch we love! Convenience foods that are made to be crispy from the oven may have more oil on them than homemade foods. Some foods, like homemade chicken wings, are going to drip while they cook. A little smoke is normal, but we have some tips to help:

  • When using the Air Fry Tray, place a baking sheet on the oven rack one or two positions below the Air Fry Tray. This keeps drips and crumbs from landing on the oven bottom, where they will burn and create smoke. Place some foil-lined parchment paper on the baking sheet. Parchment paper traps oil and keeps it from smoking.
  • When making homemade food, use cooking oils that can stand up to a high temperature. For example, olive oil and some vegetable oils will smoke at lower temps than avocado, grapeseed, and peanut oils. Cooking sprays made from these oils are available at the grocery store.
  • Remember to keep foil, parchment paper, and bakeware off the bottom of the oven! The oven bottom needs to stay clear so air can circulate.

How do I improve my baking results with my Frigidaire range?

You may be surprised to learn your bakeware can impact your baking results. By using the proper rack position, you can improve your baking results - - especially if you are baking on multiple racks. Your Owner’s Manual has great tips and tricks to optimize your baking performance and recommended rack positions based on food type. For more information or tips to try, review the “Before You Call” section of your Owner’s Manual if you are experiencing any issues with your baking performance.

How do I insert and remove my racks from my Frigidaire range?

The type of racks in your range may vary by model. Based on your appliance, your Owner’s Manual provides a description of various types of racks. Most racks can simply be removed by pulling the oven rack straight out until it reaches the stop position. Tilt up the front of the oven rack to slide past the stop position and pull the rack out of the oven cavity. To insert the rack, rest the oven rack evenly between a left and right front guide along the oven walls so that the oven rack rests level. Tilt front of the rack upward and slide rack in past the stop position. Then bring the rack to a level position and slide the rack completely inside the oven.

To keep your oven racks gliding smoothly when you’re removing or inserting them, we recommend applying cooking oil along their outer edges.

If your oven is equipped with the Effortless Oven Rack system, you can refer to your Owner’s Manual for specific instructions. The Effortless Oven Rack system will automatically partially extend the oven rack from the interior oven glides to assist in easier access to your food items. This feature works whenever the oven door is opened or closed. IMPORTANT: Only the Effortless Oven Rack system should be used in the oven rack position 2. Placing any other rack in the oven rack position 2 will prevent the oven door from fully closing and may damage the oven door, oven cavity or the door connector brackets.

How do I clean my Frigidaire range?

Your Owner’s Manual provides helpful tips regarding care and cleaning for your range to include the exterior and interior components such as knobs, stainless steel, racks, door and cooktop, etc. You can also purchase cleaners directly. If your appliance has Smudge Proof Stainless Steel, use a soft cloth, clean with a mild dish detergent and water or a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. Rinse with clean water, dry with a soft clean cloth. Do not use appliance cleaner, stainless steel cleaner or cleaner containing abrasives, chlorides, chlorine or ammonia. These cleaners may damage the finish.

How do I set my oven or range to self-clean?

To self-clean your oven, follow these simple steps:

  1. Remove the oven racks.
  2. Set your oven control to clean.
  3. Select a cleaning time or choose a cleaning level: light, medium, or heavy soiled. For typical cleaning needs, we recommend that you select a cleaning time of three hours or choose the medium soiled setting.
  4. Select Start. (To set a delayed start, see your use and care manual.)

Note: For safety reasons, the oven door will remain locked until the oven cools down. When it is sufficiently cool, the door will automatically unlock.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use I just started to use the stove. Haven’t tried the air fry yet because the air fry pan wasn’t included. For what we paid for the stove, we should have gotten a free pan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my new Frigidaire Range I bought this a month ago after my Frigidaire range died (after 20 years). I had been eyeing this one because it had a air oven. I have used both the air and the convection and was amazed at the speed of baking cornbread! This is easy to operate, just read the book, and cook on. There is a bit of noise after the oven begins cooling down but nothing I can't live with. I recommend this range.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great, til it stopped working Saw the other 2 star review from someone else that seems to have the same issue. Bought it and had it for less than 5 weeks before we had issues. Element light doesn't turn on when front left burner is on, and now the right front burner won't even heat up/turn on. Service man is coming next week to repair, but after only using the stovetop a few times a week for a month, I hope it is not a sign of more problems to come. Beginning to think we should have bought the gas model instead of the electric.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very professional look! So far this range has exceeded our expectations. The air fry feature is great. It makes amazingly crisp tater tots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality I am still learning what temperature and how long to bake - this past week I tried baking crescent rolls and they were brown on the outside and gooey on the inside. I used a light colored pan and should have lowered the temperature. Also, I cooked on the middle rack but maybe the next time I'll bake on the lowest rack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great stove Bought the Frigidaire gallery appliances for my kitchen remodel, and so glad I did. Tried the air fry on some frozen fries and leftover fried shrimp. Came out perfect! Ditto for cookies on “bake” and a frozen breadstick on “convect.” Burners work well too. Controls are easy to use. Looks great in my new kitchen too.
Date published: 2019-10-24
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stove top is high maintenance I’m happy with my purchase so far. The only downside is the stove top I followed instruction on prepping/cleaning before use and it’s really high maintainer to keep it clean. I never had to use stovetop cleaner after each use with my last 2 ovens. One of which was the same name brand Frigidaire gallery. But I love the look and features it offers.
Date published: 2019-10-24
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features and looks This stove offers quick, consistent heating from both the range and the oven. Range burners quickly get to temperature and evenly heat across the pan. This functionality has helped me create the best omelettes I have ever made. And the AirFry setting on the oven is perfect for cooking frozen meats. My game-day chicken wings were throughly cooked, but moist, and not desiccated. On top of all this, the low rise back and the slightly industrial feel of the controls matches our updated kitchen wonderfully.
Date published: 2019-10-23
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features, so far reliable We bought this a couple of months ago and so far no problems. We like that the control panel buttons are large and easy to read. The time light is also very bright which is a nice feature. We're used to using a gas stove so this was an adjustment, but we find the burners heat up fast for a electric stove.
