Great Appliance!Purchased this freezer to replace my freezer which served me faithfully for 32 year until one Sunday it decided to leak and die. I love the bright light in my new freezer which makes it so easy to find items. The one negative I have found is that the gasket seal is so tight that I have to really tug at door to get it open. Disclaimer: I weigh only 102 lbs and am only 5” tall. Someone of my size would have a hard time with any appliance! Having a tight seal is definitely a plus, however, because it increases the efficiency and energy savings. All in all, I made a good choice in my purchase. Using as a Beverage RefrigeratorI bought this in August 2015. We needed a beverage refrigerator, but did not want to spend the excessive amount of money that a true under counter beverage refrigerator costs. This refrigerator is in our basement, not where any guests will see it. This is a very simple model, no crisper drawers, just wire shelves. It has PLENTY of space for water, wine, beer, soda, etc. It is exactly what I needed. My only concern is that the wire shelves may not be strong enough to bear the weight of so many glass bottles. I can see where the shelves bow slightly in the middle. If the shelves had removable center stabilizers for added support I would have given it 5 stars.

Key to lock freezer.Between my husband's snoring and the noises coming from my 15 year old upright freezer, I had a choice to make in order to regain my sanity and get some sleep. I couldn't afford to replace my husband so I had to make a decision. After doing research on various freezers and comparing prices, reviews etc. I ended up choosing the Frigidaire - FFFH17F2QW. It was a great choice. The price was right, the design and freezer space was perfect and with the money I saved I was able to go to a financial planner and found out I could afford to replace my husband. Life is good and much quieter now [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Excellent freezer!I purchased this to replace a smaller chest freezer, we needed more freezer space. It runs very quietly and the energy star rating is great. The big thing I have found is that the door seals VERY tight, almost needing 2 hands. One hand to keep it from rolling out and one to pull on the handle. 40 plus years I sold and delivered the Frigidaire brand of appliances and they never sealed this tightly back then! At that time Frigidaire was a division of General Motors and had been for many years. Excellent quality beck then and today even though the name has been sold several times since then. Mom and grandma from
Looks good, and easy to organize.Many features that I appreciate:
* four shelves
* shelves in the door
* automatic defrost
* Good lighting.
The upright Frigidaire is easy to work with. Easy access to all of my frozen food and the shelves make it easy for me to organize the food according to use.
When the door is closed the freezer is like a vault. The door seal works very well to keep the cold in and the heat out.
There is room for five shelves, but the unit arrives with four. I would appreciate an additional shelf to be included, and I may look into the purchase of an additional shelf in the future. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Was happy at first...I bought 2 months ago.. and was happy with the setup, but, then my freezer stopped working before i even had for 1 month... not sure how often this happens to people but this was the first freezer i bought on my own and was dissapointed. I figured if i got a name brand it would come with better quality but i dont know maybe i just have rotten luck. anyway it took another month after failing to keep my food frozen for someone to come out and fix it. At this point i dont even know if i trust that it wont go out again... i lost a lot of food in the process and the warranty doesnt cover any food loss which i think is wrong they completely should. nice freezerI bought this freezer about a month ago because of a review in CU. I also was looking for the biggest that would fit down my stairs to in the basement.
Very nice layout with slide out shelves and baskets. Well lit interior. So far it's working fine and keeping the proper temp ( -1.5).
We tend to get a few blackouts during the year, so we'll see how well the cold holding feature works.
One small design problem is that the temp control dial is in the back on the bottom of the unit. Although you only have to adjust it only a few times until you achieve the right temp, it is not convenient.

QualityI've had the unit for a few months. I bought it because it is designed to work in an unheated garage that drops below freezing. So good so far. Some complain about difficulty in opening the door. My experience is that it is nearly impossible(and I'm a strong guy) when you first close the door and try to reopen it, as it is still creating a vacuum to seal the door. I, personally, am glad it seals so well and am happy to wait 30 second between opening the door again. A note for those interested in buying: All of the unmovable shelves are a slightly different height. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
