Consistent Results

Even heat eliminates hot spots and delivers consistent results for creating delicious, evenly cooked foods like steaks and omelets.

Cool Cooktop, Simple Clean-up

Cool-to-the-touch cooktop generates heat directly to the pan, not the cooktop, so spills can't burn on.

Controlled Cooking

Adjusts from a powerful boil to a gentle simmer instantly - ideal for rice, soups and sauces.

Professional-Grade Controls

Heavy-duty knobs deliver precise temperature control, whether you're simmering, sautéing, searing or boiling.

Efficient Use of Power

The cooktop heats the pan directly so less heat is lost in the cooking process.

Cookware Compatible

Induction-friendly cookware includes most stainless steel or iron-based cookware. If a magnet sticks to the bottom of the cookware, it's compatible.

Questions & Reviews

What are the benefits of Induction?

Induction cooking directly heats the pan; heating will only begin when cookware is properly placed on the cooking zones. Fast and efficient - Induction cooking zones heat faster and use less energy. Induction power levels are quick to boil and they are efficient when simmering.

A cooler cooktop - A unique feature of the induction cooking zones is, whether it is turned on or off, the cooking zones remain cooler than radiant type elements. Virtually no wasted heat is produced since the heat begins with the presence of cookware.

Easy cleanups - The cooler cooking zones make cleanup easier. Spills resist sticking or burning so they wipe up easily.

Magnetic detector - The cooking zone has a sensor that automatically detects whether cookware is magnetic. This will reduce accidental “turn-ons.”

Pan size detection - The pan size recognition sensor automatically detects and adapts the induction cooking zones to the pan sizes in use for consistent, more even cooking.

More responsive - Induction cooking zones are more responsive than their electric or gas counterparts because only the pan heats. This type of cooking heats easier and will be just as responsive when reducing to a simmer.

What type of cookware do I use with Induction?

For the best possible surface cooking results, it is recommended to only use high quality heavy gauge cookware on the induction cooking zones. Be sure to follow all the manufacturer’s recommendations when using cookware made for induction cooking. To check if the cookware base material is suitable, use a magnet to test. If a magnet sticks to the bottom of the cookware, the material type is correct. The most common induction cookware types available are:

Stainless steel - Generally excellent for induction cooking plus it is durable, easy to clean and resists staining. However, it is important to note that not all stainless steel is magnetic.
Cast iron - Good for induction cooking. Cooks evenly. Do not slide cast iron cookware on cooktop. Cast iron cookware with a rough surface will scratch ceramic cooktop.
Porcelain-enamel coated metals - Heating characteristics will vary depending on quality of base material. Porcelain-enamel coating must be smooth to avoid scratching the ceramic cooktop.

Why does my Induction Range make noises when I’m cooking?

Some cookware can hum or buzz when used in induction cooking. The surface and oven controls click as they work to create even cooking temps. Temp changes during preheat and cool-down can make parts of the range expand and contract. Different fans run to heat up the oven or cool down different parts of the range, even when it’s off. These sounds are normal.

How do I know what power level to use on my induction cooktop surface?

If you were accustom to using Low, Medium or High settings, we want help you become familiar with the settings on your Induction range. Here is a quick easy guide to help you but feel free to refer to your Owner’s Manual for more information and tips.

Can I 'mute' the audible tones on my appliance?

The option to silent audible tones may not be applicable on all models so you want to check your Owner’s Manual. For applicable models - When selecting a function on your display, an audible tone is heard each time a key is pressed. If you desire, the display can be programmed for silent operation. To set the controls for silent operation:

Press and hold Start Time for 6 seconds. The display will beep once and then you can release the key.
The controls are now set for silent operation.
To return your audible tones to normal operation:
Press and hold Start Time again for 6 seconds until the display beeps once and then you release the key.
The controls are now set for audible operation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value induction cooktop This cooktop performs just as well as we've come to expect from any induction unit, but it's been great to go back to dials from finicky touch controls since installing this one. Also looking forward to getting a griddle to use the bridge feature with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to clean and great look! I purchased this stove because of the control with the heat they demonstrated to me in the showroom. Very Impressive! I have not been let down so far. I did have to purchase new pots and pans for it to work. My hard anodized ones did not have the steel bottom to make it acknowledge that a pan was sitting on it. My cast iron skillet worked perfectly. Anyway, a minor expense for the features you gain. Not only is heat control great, clean-up is a breeze. No more scrubbing to get the burned on residue off of the glass. I am really enjoying this stove.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from faster cooking time I was shocked to find how easily the stainless steel could be scratched or marred. Took me some time to get used to this product

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seams to work easier. Replaced our old cooktop with a nice new one. It worked great for a few days and still works ok but doesn’t seem to get as hot as it used to. It take forever to boil water. I have to cook eggs on high where I used to use medium.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! Did lots of research on induction and knew that's what I wanted to upgrade to from electric, as gas was not an option and I'm really happy so far with this choice!! Got it on sale after Thanksgiving and didn't get it put in until a couple weeks later as I had to get new pots and pans but what's good is the price on that stuff is going down and more available as induction is getting more and more popular! I love the mat finish on this top; the smooth cook top I had before showed every smudge. The knobs are what really sold me though. Nice and hefty like the ones on my sister's expensive gas unit. Easy to use. Does everything as advertised, no complaints. Time will tell on reliability, wear and tear and so forth. As of now, having fun cooking on it and overall very happy with my purchase:)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent performance I have always cooked with a gas range. When I moved, gas as not available. I hated cooking with an electric stove top. When the electric stove top broke, I looked into induction and, after much research, I selected the Frigidaire. I am extremely happy with my selection. Cooking is a pleasure again
