Rated 5 out of 5 by from POWERFUL, QUIET, MODERN! Bought this last JULY (2017) in just before the peak heat season in August. I've had five (5) Frigidaire units over the last 12 years. Frigidaire has REALLY refined the design of this enclosure series, and whittled down the clutter of the chassis too. I think this would be a tech's dream to work on. The really neat thing is the slide-out chassis for ease of access, and for keeping the operational outside area clean and debris-free. Since the operating machinery is always exposed to the elements, preventive maintenance is user friendly as well. This is Frigidaire's finest hour in my book, and for the price...well need I say more? No upgraded heavy duty a/c outlet is necessary so it is the best of both worlds: a high-end performing unit running on standard USA current. I guess that's why they call this one their 'MEDIAN' unit.. I packs a sleek, poised, wallop when cooling. If they don't discontinue this one too soon I would RUSH out to buy again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Unit so far Bought this specifically for a small 300sqft room and its Eco mode. Not really happy with how often Eco mode turns on but overall happy with the power of the unit I find myself putting it on cool at first for awhile then switching to Eco mode as it does not turn on often enough for me

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cold! Works great...a bit noisy, but not complaining. Cools the area I need & then some.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well, energy efficient Bought this to cool our living and dining rooms, and the total square footage is at the upper limits of this unit's rating. It works very well, cools both rooms without any struggle, and our electric bill has not jumped as much as we expected. Installation was not difficult, with another person helping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Working great! We've had this for around 6 months now, it is still working great and seems to be running the same as it was when purchased. The noise level is great, not very loud. My only complaint would be that it seems to be incorrect with the temperature. We keep it on 69 at night and it never seems that cold, but that could just be me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as intended This is my first brand new AC purchase. So far, it has operated as it should. The room does get nice and cool or cold, depending on temperature. Before I purchased this Frigidaire AC, I read the reviews about the econ setting not working as it should. When I got the AC, I saw what those reviewers were talking about; but I soon figured out how the econ setting really works. To all current customers and future customers of this AC, I will say, the econ setting is not faulty and works as intended. The econ setting works with the remote. What you have to do is turn on the AC and press start on the remote sensing option on the remote, so the AC can recognize the remote. After you enabled remote sensing, you should see the remote sensing option on the AC blink green. That means the remote is in sync with the AC, and whatever temp it shows on the remote, the AC will stay on until it reaches the temp you have set on the AC. For instance, if the temp on the remote says 80 degrees, and the temp is set to 72 on the AC, the AC will stay on until the room reaches 72. Once the remote says 72, the AC will turn off. The AC will come on again when the temp on the remote reaches 74-75 degrees. The AC will usually come back on when the temp goes 2-3 degrees above the set temp on the AC. The caveat to this is, you have to start the remote sensing option every time you turn on the AC. Otherwise, the econ setting will not work. With econ setting enabled, the AC will not remember to keep the remote sensing option enabled after you have turned the AC on again. The remote sensing option will only stay on when the AC is on, until you press stop remote sensing on the remote or turn the AC off. When you have the AC set to econ setting and remote sensing is not enabled, the AC will never get to the set temp and turn off, because it does not know how warm the room is by the remote. So, the remote sensing option has to be enabled each time for the econ setting to work properly. Otherwise, you will think the econ setting isn't working properly. That's the way it is by design. Yes, it would be nice if Frigidaire did have the remote sensing option remain enabled each time you turn on the AC as long as the econ setting is enabled.
