First-in-market feature keeps food frozen up to two days during a power outage
LAS VEGAS, NV, Jan. 20, 2015 – Today, at the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS), Frigidaire Gallery® introduced a new line of upright freezers that meets consumers’ greatest concern: keeping food frozen during a power outage. The first-in-market product has thicker walls than traditional freezers to keep foods frozen for up to two days1 during a power outage. The new ENERGY STAR appliances accomplish this without sacrificing interior capacity.
“Meeting consumer needs is our top priority when developing products, especially with ENERGY STAR appliances,” said John Weinstock, Senior Vice President of Marketing for the Frigidaire Gallery® brand. “Consumers annually save $750 on their food bill2 when they use a secondary freezer, and they want to make sure they are protecting their investment.”
Consumers also want helpful, organizational features in their freezers, so that they can fully take advantage of their food purchase.
