I've only used the oven to cook a tray or two of tostidos on a cookie sheet, but it seems to do the job. The tops burners work. And when stuff spills over, it burns on while the burners are still hot but is easy to clean off with the cleaner made for this, so I'm happy with it. I REALLY love the "simmer" setting. On all my previous stoves you just had to guess as to where above LOW the simmer setting was. Now I just point to it and let it go. The large window at the front of the oven and the really good light inside lets me see everything going on in there - I do like that. On the negative side, it did not come with any form of gasket-type lines of stuff to put around the sides and back to keep liquids that spill off the top onto the counters from sluffing under the glass top and who knows where it'll go (and get stuck) from there. The really should be addressed by both the manufacturer AND the people coming out to install the appliance. It's not like we old ladies know what to do about that (or could accomplish it even if we did know)....think ahead, fellas. I think I'd buy a stand-alone next time and pay someone to rearrange the counters on each side and in back to fit it's insertion needs. The stand-alones have a lip that keeps the liquids up on the glass top if they spill. So far as I can see, there is no reason why the more expensive slide-in versions shouldn't have the same. I don't like that I paid more and got much less.
