      wide temperature swings
      I was profoundly disappointed in my new oven, but was told that ALL ovens do this now. Honestly, a plus and minus 50-75 degrees temperature swing??? Eventually the repair service installed a different control board that cut it back a bit, but still too much. Today's technology is capable of maintaining temps within a couple degrees of set point. There's no excuse for this. I was told it was due to government regulations for electricity ratings. It actually uses the same amount or more electricity, but meets the law by being turned off for periods of time, and then heating very high and fast for short periods.
