Good Buy

I really like this fridge, and it was at a good price compared to similar models. The filtered water and ice from the door is great. We didn't have a filter on our last fridge, and we ended up not using the water and buying ice from the store. I like the pizza shelf in the freezer next to the icemaker, but kind of wish there were 2 of them. I like that you can set the temperatures on the fridge and freezer with a digital control. The speed at which the ice comes out is insane. There will be ice on the floor. Watch out if you have wood floors. Apparently there were complaints about previous models dispensing too slowly and the engineers over-compensated. The water is not cold from the door, but I hate cold water, so this is a plus for me. If the ice only dispenses in crushed form, there is just a part in the freezer that is frozen. We had a service guy come fix this as it was still under warranty. The fridge is noisy and makes plenty of different odd noises that are explained in the manual. I suppose if you shell out more money you get more sound proofing material added and thicker gauge steel maybe. You get used to it.

Refrig.

I am pleased with our new refrigerator. We had the same refrig. and only updated to the Stainless model when we remodeled the kitchen. As others the only problem is how quick the ice is dispensed from the freezer door. It's really not a problem when you get used to it.

Product.....

Well as a Contractor we have always installed Frigidaire appliances in the houses we built as well as used them in our own homes. We purchased this and also experienced the shooting ice problem. It would build up in the bucket, fall down beside the pizza shelf and out the back of the ice bucket. Every time you take a frozen product out from below the ice maker you also get the fallen ice pieces on your floor. I called the service department and was told it had to have a defective device that actually was replaced. The poor quality of the ice bucket did not count. I spoke to the highest person I could before sending a letter to the corporate office. The issues that I have along with others on here are not considered issues according to Ricky, who I was transferred by Dale @ 7367. It was up to the review board to decide if you truly had an issues. I was told this was detailed out in the information that came with all their products. So basically it is up to "the review Board" to decide if you have a problem. If they spent these positions on the design of the ice maker bucket they might have less complaints to answer. As I stated before I have always used this brand and wish the customer service was doing more to correct the products. Hiding behind the corporate legal documents instead of helping the customer using the product just is not right. Thanks for reading....

A few problems

There are two problems with the unit. Number one is that the ice comes out so fast that it ends up on the floor and don't even try to put ice in a juice glass. You will not be fast enough before the ice is all over the floor. I had techs out twice and the second one finally told me that I would just have to live with it. No way to slow down the ice launching. The second disappointment was that the water is not cold. You would think that that would be a given. After all, it is a refrigerator that makes ice. Why couldn't it make cold water. Guess I didn't ask when I purchased. Other than these two problem the refrigerator works well.

Disappointed

The unit looks very nice, is spacioius for a side-by-side, which, traditionally have space limitations, especially in the freezer section, and overall performs very well. However, this particular model does NOT dispense COLD water from the door dispenser. The water is room temperature, at best. It does not matter how much water you run through it, the water does not get cool or cold. My tap water is cooler. I was told by Frigidaire that this model does not have a cooling unit for the water reservoir. Did Frigidaire bother to put this tidbit of information on their spec sheet?? No. I thought the purpose of a refrigerator was to cool things. VERY disappointed with my $1000+ refrigerator that does not dispense cool water. Cannot understand Frigidaire's reasoning, except to cut corners and save a few $$$'s.

The only thing I am disappointed in is the freezer space--it's not a big as it appears when looking at it in the show room. Otherwise, I love it! I've had it about 4 months w/no problems.

I'm very pleased with our new refrigerator. Love having all the extra light in fridge, plenty of storage and it is so nice looking.

Love it

I love my Frig. It's the best. I love to be able to get filter water straight for the frig. It saves money as well and is better for the the environment. You don't have so many plastic bottles.

A LOT for the $$$

Bought this fridge, updating our kitchen. We have ALWAYS been a Sears (Kenmore) customer. As of late, our fridge bought from Sears (Kenmore) has broke down 3 times. Yes it is under warranty, but it becomes a hassle. The salesman introduced us to the Frigidaire Gallery collection, which we loved. We even received 20% off any Frigidaire appliance. It fit perfect, looks and works beautifully. Just in time for the Holidays! Frigidaire has a new customer and a spokesman for the Frigidaire Gallery collection!
