Very High End

Best fridge we've ever had. It has all the high-end features, and we love the French door design and way the compartments are organized. Everything works like it should -- very well designed. All the little stuff, like all the controls you can choose and the customizable configuration are great. We've only had it for a while, so I'm not sure of the reliability, but so far so good. I'm glad we didn't pay full price, because we couldn't have afforded it, but we got a lot of bang for our buck.

Let down

The refrigerator looks amazing inside and out. Unfortunately, I have had it for almost a year exactly and it has broken four times. The ice maker continually stops working and needs replaced. I figured I just bought a lemon however the repairman said it is very common to have to repair a Frigidaire refrigerator. It has been a very big headache. Don't be sucked in by the beauty.

Love our Frididaire refrigerator

It took a little getting use to the closing of the doors but other than that the space inside is amazing and the overall design is easy to locate anything in the fridge. The water on it's own is not very cold but I usually drink it with ice so it doesn't make too much of a differnece. It is also very easy and convient to clean on a regular basis.

Pretty good, but....

Great refrigerator. Space is great and used efficiently. If I have a complaint, it is the temperature in the meat, fruit and vegetable drawers. I have made many adjustments to the temperature to keep these items from freezing in the drawers. I occasionally still have problems with items freezing in the drawers. Otherwise, great product.

follow-up review

I initially reviewd this model on 10/11/2011. After around 3 months of many attempted "fixes" by my appliance store where I had purchased an extended warranty, I finally was able to get a replacement unit. If you read my first review you'll see what my problem was- you guessed it, the ice maker. My unit was obviously not repairable. Only after contacting the BBB was I able to win my battle and receive a new unit, at no cost. So far, after 4 months, my unit has been working flawlessly. True, it doesn't make large amounts of ice but the ice bin should not have any large chunks of ice. If your unit is doing this it's probably not functioning properly. I keep my temp set at 33 degrees for the food section and 0 (zero) for the freezer. I had at first thought that the ice was simply melting and re-freezing until I witnessed water dumping directly into the ice bin.

Love this Fridge

Okay I had No other choice but to buy a New Fridge because my Old Faithful LG side by side gave up after 10 yrs with 5 kids/Teens and I bought this Particular Fridge right off the showroom floor,I couldn't wait because I was losing Food. I am pretty sure that I am Missing door compartments,I have the 2 removable Gallon Bins on the right door and the fixed butter compartment on the right but on the Left door there is the fixed compartment that the Ice drops thru and holds a 2 liter Soda and there is a removable bin that is right under that. According to what I am reading here there are a total of 5 removable bins so I am Missing 2 more removable store more door bins but where I bought the Fridge when I shared my concern over this they assured me that all were there. Can someone who owns this Fridge comment here and tell me how Many removable Bins do you have on each door so I will know for sure. Otherwise I am COMPLETELY satisfied with My Purchase,No problems with the Ice and yes the doors make noise when shutting but its because we were Use to a different designed Fridge so you get use to it quick and to me its a reassurance that the doors are Shut completely.

Ice Maker Troubles

I've had this model for 3 months and the ice maker has been faulty since day one. Ice is produced but water ends up in the ice bin which freezes and makes it very difficult for the auger to function. A plastic piece at the front of the ice bin has been shattered twice. At this point a service tech is consulting Frigidaire. Other than that big problem, I like the overall design. I hope to be able to write a positive update review in the future.

Awesome!

We love the freezer drawer feature. We were a little unsure about how that works, but it is great! The fridge doors are a little noisy as they suction shut. We removed one shelf for better usability. LOVE this fridge and highly recommend it!

Great Product!

We just moved and have a family of five. This product meets all of our needs. We read all of the reviews before we purchased even though there were alot of comments about the lack of ice the fridge produced but we purchased it anyway. We have been VERY pleased and we have NO issues with the ice maker. There is plenty of space in the fridge and freezer.

Mixed Bag

We purchased the refrigerator to match the stove and microwave we had just installed. The good: The refrigerator looks great. They did a nice job with the stainless protection. Fingerprints are not an issue except on the handles, which are the typical stainless. Overall space is great for this size refrigerator. The icemaker is more compact than others we looked at (but it also doesn't hold as much ice). The not so good: There are a few design items that don't make sense. For example, the right door, which probably gets the most use, is the door with the swivel seal on it. It seems like this would have made more sense on the left door. The doors also close pretty hard (there doesn't seem to be any cushion like other brands). The large drawer only opens about 6 inches, which makes it tough to get anything out of the back. Reliability: I am hoping we just got a lemon, but our refrigerator has been serviced 3 times since getting it 2 months ago and I cannot get it to stay at a reasonable temperature. It wants to stay in the 43-50 degree range in the refrigerator portion regardless of what the settings are. Even without opening the refrigerator for 8-10 hours, the temperature continues in the high temp range. Two control boards have been replaced as well as a thermister with no luck. It seems to work for a day or two and then goes back to the high temp issue. We are getting a replacement, so hopefully that will take care of the problem.

Unbelievable

We purchased this model because of the space and size of the bottom freezer. My wife had back surgery and this has made a difference of have to retreive items from the freezer. It's more comfortable and less strain on her. It also has plenty of space in the top also. It truly is a nice appliance. It has made our newly remodeled kitchen look like it belongs in a magazine.

Great Buy

Have had this refrigerator for a little over a month now and have been pleased with its performance it is a bit noisier than our old one but after a few days you no longer notice it. The few things that I have found that I do not like are the fresh egg area (or lack of it). The water filter being inside the refrigerator, and the ice drop area on the left side door (seems to take up a lot of space). The icemaker is a bit on the picky side. When the ice bin is removed need to be sure it has been pushed all the way in and be sure not to move the auger or it will not make ice. The inside is bright with plenty of open room for a family with 2 teenagers. We love the fact that the outside is easy to clean and looks nice with little effort. Freezer area has plenty of room and lights up just as bright as the refrigerator does, and the drawer makes it easy to keep things in order. I would recommend this model to my friends.

Very nice unit

I have had this refridgerator for 2 months now. I love the size and appearance of it. It holds so much in refridgerator and the freezer drawers. It is very bright inside and has a "ramp up" lighting feature that nice. Smudges and fingerprints clean up easily with no streaking. (I was worried about stainless for that reason) My only disappointment is the ice maker. It makes a small amount of ice at a time. The cubes are a new rounded shape. It also is quite noisey when the cubes do drop because our hopper is empty all the time. I have had trouble with the ice maker not making any cubes at all and it had to be reset each time. As of yesterday, I can not seem to get the ice maker reset and a service man will be out tomorrow to see what the problem is. Overall, the refriderator is extremely roomy and asthetically pleasing and looks great with my other Frigidaire appliances.
