We purchased our freezer in Jan. of this year and to date are pleased with it's performance. A quieter motor would be nice be we have it in the basement so it's not bothersome.

      Really Disappointed
Our 11 yr old Frigidaire freezer died and we bought another the same size. The older model is much better. This one has no wheels (I can't imagine building a major appliance without wheels!) and the door shelves have flexible plastic retainers so small packages (like bacon, crawfish or hamsteaks) slip right through. Now we wish we'd replaced the compressor on the old one.

      Pretty nice freezer
We needed a new freezer to replace the 10 years old lemon that we had in our garage. Based on the reviews on the web, we decided on this one. It's a pretty nice unit, lots of room inside, temperature alarm, door open alarm. It lacks a few convenience features like adjustable door shelves and reversible door, but it's no big deal for us. The only issue for us is that the length of the cord, it's very short. You would have to locate the freezer within a few feet of the outlet for it to reach. I'm going to have to have an electrician come in and add an outlet nearer to where I want the freezer.

we bought this freezer about 2 years ago new from an appliance store in our are.. freezer worked great for the most part, but after only 2 years it is in need of new coils and will cost us over $400.00 to repair it... I don't think so....

      Great freezer
We love our new Frig. freezer and especially the frost free feature. I like also the prompt on the door for temp and warning if the door is ajar...along with the key for locking. The local dealer, Quality Appliance was outstanding in bringing it in, setting it up and explaining how it worked. They also took our old one back. Great service. Thanks, Jim Stark

      Works Great
This freezer works great. Plenty of room for what we need. Only complaint is the thermostat. Why dont they show actual temp instead of just a number setting.

I really like my new freezer. It has a lot of room which I needed. I had a chest freezer before which I didn't like but it was useful. Just had to get things out and also organized. Now all of my items are organized very nicely. Thank You

      outstanding upright freezer
We are very pleased with our freezer. We pluged it in and just a short time it was down to temperture. We run it on 2 and have had no problems with it. Thank you for such a reliable appliance. The other new freezer (whirlpool) we bought stopped working in a few days and we lost everything we had put up. We would buy another Frigidaire product without hesitation.

      Great Freezer
I have this freezer for three months or so. It fits so much food, it has been wonderful for cooking and baking in advance, which I do often. This replaced a much smaller freezer that had manual defrost. I finally feel liberated from the chore of emptying and defrosting a freezer and cleaning up the mess afterward. I don't use the bookends, as I don't buy that many boxes of things. The shelves are wide enough to be useful, and hold two pound deli containers easily. The drawer for poultry or meat pulls out easily. All in all, this was the appliance recommended by the appliance store and now I know why!

      Frost Freedom
I just replaced my 45 year old chest freezer with this new Frigidaire upright and I'm really pleased with the space and convenience it provides and especially the frost free feature. This is my first Frigidaire product and I'm looking forward to many years of great service. We received a great deal from the Retailer and bought the extended warranty. I haven't had it long enough to rate the electrical savings, but I'm sure it will use less power than my older model.

      We're thrilled
We're really thrilled with the freezer. My husband says he was considering a "non-frost free" version. I had to explain to him that he was mistaken in this issue. I understand that frost free uses a little more electricity. But I'm old enough to remember running a hose out the back door when the old ones needed defrosting. And there's the power wasted during the defrosting and re-freezing process. This freezer is large enough for us to buy bulk and repackage foods. The shelves are spaced for ease in sorting, stacking, and finding food to avoid losing delicate items to freezer burn. One other thing . . . the way the door opens so as to make most efficient floor room. We were able to position it in a smaller space than we would have if the door needed extra room.

      Upright Freezer
I've had the freezer for about one year and have not had any major problems. My only complaint is that it is moderately noisy; not noisy enough to wake you up in the middle of the night, but noisy enough to notice it when it is quiet in the house.

      So Far So Good
I've had this freezer a year and a half now and so far it is great. However, from my perspective, this is not nearly long enough for a valid review. I expect major appliances to last 30 or more years, and indeed my previous Freezer lasted that long. Will this one make the grade? Who knows? I have heard of folks who purchased appliances that only lasted 6 or 7 years, and rumors of planned obsolescence engineering to assure such short life spans. I hope this is not the case with Frigidaire. If it even hiccups within 20 years time span I will be back here to express my displeasure. Now for the advantages, my old freezer from 1978 consumed about 550Watts while this new one is at about 250Watts. Measured over a one month period the energy cost saving in this area is about $5 per month. The frost free is nice, and basic features are simple. The door LED with setting number is nice, but all I really need is a light so that I know it is still running. So if you really want to know about this product, check back in 20 years and I will give you my honest opinion.
