      All works well but it's noisy
      As others have pointed out, the fan is noisy and seems to run a lot. However, we met our objective of have a slightly smaller freezer that uses 50% of the electricity of the 1998 20 cu foot version and we could move it inside instead or using a hot summer garage.

      Our freezer is now about 3 months old and so far, so good. We really like the drawers and dividers on the one shelf. However, I wish the dividers were larger because they don't extend the depth of the shelf. I also feel like the door "shelves" are not stable but we haven't had a problem with them yet. Overall, we have been happy with our purchase and have recommended it to others.

      This unit is incredibly noisy and impossible to live with. There is no way you can have it anywhere near your living space or the noise will drive you nuts.

      Solid performer
      Recently remodeled our basement and found a nook just the right size for this freezer, an appliance that we've never owned before. It didn't take much convincing to get my wife to concur. She is now deliriously happy. I've never seen her take such an interest in the basement before. She is trotting down there constantly with armloads of fresh vegetables and farm-bought meats for storage. I think I even caught her one time just standing in front of it and staring lovingly at the freezer. All kidding aside, it has been a reliable performer. Freezer temp seems to be very consistent and returns to set temperature quickly after the door is open. My only quibble with the unit is that it is almost too light weight. Given the strong magnets on the door seal, the freezer wants to move when the door is opened. Once opened, though, food storage is ample and quite accessible. I'd say it was a good value for the money and I haven't noticed any big bump in electricity consumption.

      GREAT FREEZER
      I love this freezer. It is the perfect size for me and my husband. I had a chest freezer before buying this freezer. I could never find what I was looking for and lost alot of food from freezer burn. This freezer makes it easy to find and orginize my food. Frigidaire has a great service department. I had to call them after my grandson played with all the controls on the front of the freezer. They help my reset them and how to lock them so it wouldn't happen again.

      This product is great. It is more than what I expected. It has many great features (locks, alarms, digital temperature display). I have had this product for 6 months and it has worked like a charm.
