upright freezer
I wish I had done some research before purchasing this freezer. First of all, I would have checked if it were frost-free. I only purchased the freezer in March of this year and have had to defrost it twice already. Not something I look forward to. Not that it's hard, just time consuming. Secondly, I wouldn't have purchased it if I had known I would have to purchase the bottom grill part seperately. The manuel didn't include a parts list, so I don't even know the part number to order. I figure it's easy enough to find out, but it should have been in the manuel. And lastly, it makes a weird and loud noise. I don't mean to sound so negative, but I honestly can't stand the loud noise it makes. I keep it in the dining room for convenience sake and it drives me crazy. I never had that problem with my trusty old deep freeze which I wish I would have kept. I've already have had a service call because there was a crack in the plastic on the door. I was inquiring about the build up of frost to the repair tech and he stated that upright freezers are bad for that because of the rush of warm air inside each time the door is opened. I wish I had known that before I purchased this freezer. I guess it's not the brand name I take issue with, but the fact that it's an upright. Not being negative towards your company, as I'm sure all upright freezers must have the same frost build up problem.
