      This air conditioner cools 2 large rooms very well. I also have a ceiling fan which spreads the cool air. This is not the only air conditoner that I have. I have 2 smaller ones. One in the master bedroom, and one in another bedroom. I am thrilled with my electric bill. I chose all energy star air conditioners. This frigidaire cools half of my home. My electric bill was $50 lower when we had the record temperatures at the beginning of the 2012 summer. I was surprised!

      nice a/c
      this a/c unit is big and powerful. it is moderately easy to install with just one person and it can be loud, but it's a powerful unit so i think that's to be expected. we use it to cool our entire 550 sq. ft. aparment in nyc and it does the job - fast. so dealing with the ambient noise generated by the unit's motor and blower is a fair trade off for staying cool.
