Smudge-Proof Coating is a deal breaker.

The Smudge-Proof finish on my Frigidaire refrigerator began peeling off after I owned the product for 14 months. It appears to be a clearcoat paint that has begun peeling around the handle on the door surface. I own several stainless steel appliances by different manufacturers and all are 3-5 years older than the Frigidaire. All of the other appliances have a flawless finish with a quick wipe of a stainless steel cleaner as opposed to my refrigerator which is an unsightly mess.
Although the warranty states it "will pay all costs for repairing or replacing any parts of this appliance that prove to be defective in materials or workmanship", the finish on the door is excluded because it fall into the category of other cosmetic parts and therefore not covered under this 1 year warranty. I have an extended warranty from a third party provider which would duplicate the manufacturers warranty for an additional year. They contacted Electrolux/Frigidaire and found that this issue would not be covered within the first year.
The refrigerator itself has operated fine. The surface is kept free of refrigerator magnets and cleaned regularly with Stainless steel cleaner or wet towel. Given that this Smudge-Proof feature seems to be prone to such catastrophic failure makes the Frigidaire Brand in a Stainless Steel finish a deal breaker for me.
I will look at another brand when I need another Stainless Steel appliance.
