seems like a solid machine and it is rather quiet considering the reasonable price. I definitely would recommend it!

    Poorly designed

    By: Frost on 2/6/2014

This dishwasher has needed repairs twice since it was purchased 9 months ago. Repairs included the replacement of the main control circuit board. The door is difficult to close and requires an extreme amount of pressure before the latch catches. My repair man said all of the dishwashers of this model behave that way. It also includes completely unnecessary control locks which prevent the keypad from being used. These locks automatically engage from time to time, preventing the use of the dishwasher. It doesn't always complete it's wash cycle so the detergent cup never opens. Honestly, this is the most frustrating dishwasher I've ever used.

Difficult to Open - Just for Starters

    By: Chris on 1/30/2014

I wish I had not ordered online. The low-profile handle makes it very difficult to open. Even my husband complained. The wire racks are spaced too far apart so that I had to buy baskets to put things in as too many items kept falling through to the bottom. On top of all that, the dishwasher had a crack in the casing. It leaked slowly under the vinyl flooring for six weeks before the floor bulged up and we realized that the sub-floor was ruined. Frigidaire/Electrolux has demanded a long tedious list of things that I must do in order to make an insurance claim. One of which is to "Return the defective part." The will be receiving the entire dishwasher back via C.O.D.

    Not the best I've used

    By: Erica on 1/6/2014

This is a very basic dishwasher. It does not have a manual drain button which I dislike. Even with added Jet Dry liquid, it takes at least all night for my dishes to fully dry. The appearance is nice and looks like a good quality dishwasher, however, I would recommend a dishwasher with more features. We bought the appliance in September and 3 months later already had a plumber come in a clean out the bottom drainer because nothing would drain.

    Good unit for $

    By: Adam on 12/30/2013

The unit performs very well for the cost. Will definitely continue to purchase frigidaire appliances.

    bad handle design

    By: ingrid on 12/28/2013

It is relatively quiet and does the job. But there is a serious problem: the handle is almost impossible to grasp when your hands are dry, you might brake a nail anyway, but when your fingers are wet, forget it! what good is a dishwasher that you can't open? It is obvious that nobody at this factory ever tried to use that thing, so my confidence for the rest of it is pretty much zero. The appliance came with a new condo I bought, so I had no choice, but I definitely will stay away from anything frigidaire in the future

    Ordering online

    By: DannyBear on 12/27/2013

Ordering online can sometimes lead to bad purchases. Not being able to see the inside of a dishwasher before you purchase it, can be a bad experience. Thank goodness this was a positive experience. The dishwasher was just the right size for empty nesters now that the children are grown. Quieter than the original put in by the builder. We have enjoyed watching TV without having to turn the volume to 50. Thanks for a great dishwasher!

    Not happy

    By: Chib on 12/26/2013

I have a new Dishwasher that had been installed before I bought the home. There are sharp edges by the door handle. I have been waiting on a installation kit for the dishwasher to be installed with a Granite countertop. Been waiting for it for over 3 weeks and still no sign of availability. You must design your products better and make accessory parts available.

    Poor Handle design

    By: Mike on 12/18/2013

Mostly seems to work OK. Very difficult getting door open because handle and latch give you nothing to hold on to when pulling door open. I think it is a design flaw that would have been corrected had the design engineer tried it themselves.

We purchased this item because it was a good price from a good brand and it looks nice. Ive had it for less than two months and had to call for service twice! My second service appointment is actually tomorrow so hopefully there wont be anymore problems after this!

    Buy something else!

    By: Cait on 12/17/2013

It looks nice, but it really hasn't gotten my dishes clean and that's what I primarily care about. It's just not powerful enough and there are soap spots on my dishes all the time. It came with my new apartment so I don't really have a choice in products, but I would recommend looking at other dishwashers if you are able.

Great Quality & Style for the money!

    By: Brett H. on 12/16/2013

This dishwasher was a new install in a home that previously did not have a dishwasher. It was purchased as part of a 4-piece kitchen suite. DESIGN The design/aesthetics of this dishwasher is fantastic, especially for the price paid. The contrast of black and stainless steel go well together, so the unit is pleasing to the eye. I've only had mine installed for a little over a month now, and have had several compliments on it and the rest of my Frigidaire suite. It has fairly basic features/controls, not all the bells and whistles like other units. However, that is to be expected with a unit that's more budget-friendly. The only design flaws I see with the unit are the door handle/latch and the vent - the door latch is easy to engage in order to open the door, but there's very little to grab on to; you have to use your fingertips to get the thing open. a door latch with a bit more curvature and a front-facing surface would provide more grip for the user. The vent is located in the door in such a way that the hot, heavily most steam flows right to the underside of my countertop, which is a laminate. The exposed wood underneath is getting a bit wet, which concerns me a bit. How long will it take for the material of my countertop to get soggy/waterlogged? Luckily, I'm single and live alone, so the dishwasher only gets ran about once a week. FEATURES Like I mentioned before, this dishwasher doesn't have a lot for features. However, this is to be expected for a lower-cost unit. I'm pleased with what is offered on this unit, and it gets the job done! QUALITY The quality of this fridge isn't surprising - for a budget-friendly unit, the quality is about as good as it gets. Many factors affect the bottom line of a product from a business standpoint - quality of raw materials, workmanship, and manufacturing/assembly techniques are key. For a unit of this design and features available, the quality is pretty high. However, I do have a couple of concerns on this front as well - the door latch/handle and the stainless steel front cover. The door latch is cheap plastic (like the whole upper console on the door). Because of the feel and sound of the latch when opening and closing, I'm convinced the latching mechanism itself also has several (if not all) plastic components. Over time these will wear out, and eventually the door latch will no longer work - either locking you out of your unit, or making it impossible to lock and wash dishes. The stainless front cover is nice appearing, but don't play rough with it (I feel sorry for families that own this and have kids/pets). It is very thin gauge material and will easily dent/crease. This ties in to the bottom line cost of the unit in relationship to quality...stainless steel isn't cheap. I'd recommend that this cover be thicker in the future. It also seems that the stainless cover isn't mounted the best - I fear that, after my dishwasher gets "broken in", I will start to hear vibratory noises due to the stainless cover and the way it is mounted. It would have been a good idea to use some adhesive foam rubber on the backside of the cover to isolate vibration from the unit reaching the door. All in all, this is a good solid unit for someone looking for a dependable, low-cost dishwasher that will last at least a few years, if not longer. Having good quality water, using easily dissolved detergents, and gentle handling of the door and controls will ensure this unit will last.

    bad handle!

    By: kassis on 11/14/2013

Yes, the thing washes the dishes and is not too loud, but the handle is impossible. Way too narrow, you can't get a grip on it, and if your hands are wet, forget it! Really lousy design

    Super Satisfied

    By: Deb on 10/4/2013

I can't say enough good about the Frigidaire product line !!! When I look for a new appliance , reviews are vital. My husband and myself research the product before we purchase it. This is the second major Frigidaire purchase we have made in the last 5 years. I have a stainless dual fuel over sized stove that I absolutely LOVE. I am so impressed with it that a friend of mine bought the exact same stove. So when it came to needing to purchase a dishwasher , Frigidaire was my first choice!! I did the research , read the reviews and made my decision to purchase my stainless Frigidaire dishwasher!! My next purchase a refrigerator and my research will lead myself and my husband to the Frigidaire line for sure!!! Satisfied is a for sure also dependable !!!

    Good Enough

    By: Dishwasher on 10/1/2013

Since I have owned this dishwasher, it has leaked twice and needed service both times by a technician. The heat dry does not dry completely. I do follow all instructions and use products to help with drying and the recommended dish soap.

    The strong silent type...

    By: PilotWings01 on 9/30/2013

After ditching the dishwasher that was purchased with my townhome 10 years ago, we went with this particular Frigidaire and couldn't be happier. I don't need all the bells and whistles on my dishwasher, just a solid performer that I can rely on to clean my dishes everyday. Quiet, easy to use, and a timeless look were my requirements on a dishwasher and this fits the bill and some. I would gladly recommend this dishwasher and its very "wallet-friendly" price tag. Let the old adage of "KISS" guide you on this product and clean dishes will be in your future.

The dishwasher is very quiet and does a good job cleaning the dishes. The only reason I would not recommend it to a friend, is because it is so hard to open. There seems to a flaw in design of the handle to open the dishwasher. I am a Senior Citizen (84) , but even the younger family members complain about the door latch.

    By: Dan on 9/26/2013

I use my dishwasher daily, I hate doing dishes by hand. When ours died, we got this one and it has performed very well. Use liquid soap instead of powder with it. It's got delay settings and is much quieter than any I've had in the past.

    Really Nice

    By: Madeline on 9/25/2013

I really like this dishwasher. It was water jets on both the top & bottom shelves so every item gets clean. It also has an energy saver button- which I love. It is super quiet when running and my dishes come out looking great!

Very nice appliance for the money. I purchased 3 for 3 rental units with only one issue. the splash gaurd was damaged on one causing the dishwasher to leak. A new one was shipped in a few days, I snapped it into place and all was well.

latch mechanism not very well made

    By: Derek on 7/15/2013

The latching mechanism needs to be re-engineered. It was very difficult to close the door from day one. We had a warranty repair person come out and replace it, however that didn''t change the problem much. It has gotten better over time.

    changes to be made

    By: al on 7/14/2013

to open the door on the dish washer is a problem. no place to grab to open just about have broken all my finger nails trying to pull the door open. The small lights that lite up on the front touch panel are hard to see when we make the selections for the wash cycle. The dishes do come out clean and the machine is quite. however the two problems override the good. sorry about that.

    not too shabby

    By: jamesd on 7/13/2013

Be careful how you load your dishes. You might just block the soap door from opening. Takes a while to clean but that is because of the quiet setting and the fact it toggles washing top rack and bottom rack.

    Poor Frigidaire

    By: Babe on 7/12/2013

From day one we had problems with dishes getting clean and the soap dispenser didn't work. We had that replaced and still doesn't work properly. It takes a very long time and needless to say , the dishes still come out dirty 65% of the time. We've never had problems like this with Frigidaire products. We have an over the range microwave and refrigerator by Frigidaire and we LOVE them. Unfortunately the dishwasher is TERRIBLE!

    very nice

    By: Jack on 9/21/2012

This is a very nice stainless steel front dishwasher. It is quieter than so many others, but not the quietest on the market. For the price it is very quiet and does a nice job at cleaning dishes. Looks great too.
